The Rotary Club of Chester was founded in the City in 1921. We are part of Rotary International, an organisation which brings together business and professional people to provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and help build goodwill and peace in the world.

The annual Raft Race will be held on the River Dee on Sunday 5 July 2020. This year's theme is Blockbuster movies - and our fly boarder will again be entertaining the crowds.
In addition to our regular meetings and social events, we host a number of events in our City each calendar year. These activities help to fund our charitable donations.
Each year we organise a Charity Golf Day one of the Chester golf courses. Teams of four entered with the best two Stapleford scores to count on each hole.

President, The Rotary Club of Chester 2020-2021
Rotary Chester’s new president is Simon Burtonshaw-Gunn who has recently retired from full-time work after holding professorial posts in UK and international Universities over the last ten years and before this undertaking management consultancy work in aviation and high-tech industries in the Middle East, South East Asia and Eastern Europe.
Simon continues as a specialist External Examiner in the UK and in Nepal in addition to advising on new course proposals in the HE sector.
